Yep, I almost ALWAYS have text on anything I create.
I feel that it brings the whole piece together, like a finishing touch that unifies it. Graphics that don't have any text on it just seems like there's something missing to my eyes. Of course, there are exceptions depending on the style and type of graphic that you're making as well. But usually, I don't make anything without text on it.

When creating an advertisement, yeah. Text is needed. If I'm creating a face or something like then, well.. no. As for signatures, most likely I will.

I think putting text in graphics would depend on what the graphic is. for example signatures are fine with out text but banners and logos should have text.

I too think that text should be used in banners and logos. Signatures maybe not, I guess it depends on the theme of the signature and whether or not text is warranted.

Sometimes text is ok. I prefer to use text in my logos and sigs

I think it depends on what you are trying to make. For signatures and avatars I think it looks cool. For just designs, I think no text looks better.

Not really, I'm terrible when it comes to text. Really need to work on it along with other things. I'm the same, I could spend days making the perfect template, then if I struggle to make the text fit I scrap it. If it's necessary to use text I will, but if I can avoid it - I don't. |

I like it in your main sig April, because the text is the focal point. But it's hard when you make a really busy, detailed piece and you don't know where to put it. Text has ruined so much of my banners!

Personally, unless the graphic is a Banner, Logo, or flyer for the most part, I think text in graphics looks sorta tacky.

Its the image and the font used if you have an image that needs text or you want text you have to have the correct font to place in there i have probably a 1000+ fonts each one different for a different stlye of art you also have to know how to place and blend it also you have to remember to use your character tools sometimes a simply bold of italic font isnt enough..
