So... how often do you use brushes in your designs? And how much of your design consists of them (on average)?
And if you do use them, do you use the defaults or downloaded brushes?

I use brushes in almost all my signatures most if the time I download brushes or use defaults. But lately I've been experimenting with making my own. I might post them later in the resources board after I have had more time to play with them.

Yeah, I just realized last night that I could make my copyright image (that I use on photos and some large graphic design pieces) into a brush and it's soooo much faster than copying and pasting the image into each file. Haha, I dunno how I never clued into that before now...  I used to use lots of brushes in my stuff, but then I kinda just got tired of it. So I hardly ever use brushes anymore... |

I too fall victim to doing the crime of downloading and using other people's brushes or photoshops built in ones.

I don't use them so much any more, but when I originally started I used them all the time. I've made a few which I use regularly, but they're pretty simple ones - nothing special.
I personally don't think there's anything wrong with using brushes!

Sorry to double post (self-moderating) but where do you guys download brushes from if you do use them? I used to use DA but they're not that great any more! Back when I used them more, I got alot of my brushes from a website called 8nero. It's not in existence anymore though (this was like 8 years ago), but I think if you have BitTorrent and know how that works, you can probably still find them there. If I need any brushes nowadays, I just google it.  Usually comes up with what I was looking for. |

When I use brushes I get them from DA. DA is probably one of the most common places - but there aren't really many original sets on there! It's a bit of a let down! |
